Club Objectives
Members
CCDC is a group of individuals that love Dachshunds. They attempt to improve the breed thru education and communication between members. This is done by the showing and breeding of Dachshunds, association with national organizations, corresponding with other clubs, and members. Our members support each other in their endeavors. Some of our members are more interested in maintaining their dachshunds as house pets and members of their family. Others enjoy showing their dachshunds in conformation shows. Still others enjoy showing their dogs in obedience events, agility trials, earth dog trails, or field trials.
Membership
Membership to our specialty club is open to all individuals meeting our standards and qualification as outlined in our Code of Ethics. Individuals must be in good standing with the American Kennel Club and have not been expelled from any breed club. Visitors to our meetings and events are always welcome. Inquires to joining us in our love of the Dachshund breed are also welcome.

Activities
Our specialty show is held once a year in conjunction with three breed clubs. A Fun Match is held once a year also. Our members have been active in participating in American Kennel Club events that are held to help educate the public in the sport of showing dogs in both conformation shows and in field and obedience events.
Affiliations
We are an American Kennel Club approved club. We are also a member club of the Dachshund Club of America. Some of our members are also active in local all breed clubs.
Legislative Information
As a club we are concerned with the laws being made concerning our rights as dog owners and breeders. Be aware of your rights as a dog owner. These laws don't only affect breeders but will also affect pet owners as well. Below are some links for information on these laws in our state as well as other states.
